By purchasing a ticket, you have a chance to draw one of the runners in the TAB Everest Calcutta.

A dozen winning tickets will be drawn this Friday (14th October) during the Sydney Business TAB Everest Luncheon with each of these winning tickets receiving a runner.

All money from the ticket sales is then directed into the Calcutta prize pool.

The 12 winners drawn will then have their runners auctioned at The TAB Everest Eve Corporate Luncheon with each winner receiving 50% of their runner’s sale price, and the remaining 50% going towards the Calcutta prize pool.

The winners have the chance to participate in the auction via telephone should they wish or can choose to simply receive their horse sale prize.

Those that participate in the auction then bid for their chance to have that TAB Everest runner represent them in the race and receive a share of the Calcutta prize pool based on their runner’s finishing position.

The total Calcutta prize pool is made up of 100% of the Calcutta ticket sales and 50% of the total Calcutta auction sales.

Following the running of The TAB Everest, the winner and placegetters will be entitled to receive their share of the Calcutta prize pool as per:

1st place – 70% of the prize pool
2nd place – 20% of the prize pool
3rd place – 10% of the prize pool
