Beaumont Newcastle Meeting Transferred To Course Proper (Sat)

Please be advised that following 14mm of rain in the past 24 hours and 97mm in the last 7 days, an inspection of the Newcastle Beaumont track by Stewards and NJC officials found the track to be waterlogged and deemed unsuitable for racing tomorrow.

As a consequence the meeting has been transferred to the Newcastle course proper, with the rail out 7m. The course proper is currently rated Soft (6) and further improvement is expected with a favourable forecast.

All fields, barriers and times remain the same, however the following distance amendments will apply:

Race 1 - 2300m (was 2200m) Race 3 - 1200m (was 1150m) Race 5 - 1200m (was 1150m)

ASTERN (trained by John O'Shea) will gallop on the course proper with a mate between races 1 and 2.
