Australian Turf Club Announces Harrolds As Exclusive Fashion Partner

Australian Turf Club has signed Australian luxury department store, Harrolds, as the fashion partner in an exclusive one year deal.

The iconic retailer will hold the naming rights to the 2018 Group 1 $2million Harrolds Australian Derby which will take place at The Championships Day 1 on Saturday, 7 April.

The race has more than 150 years of history and is the premier distance race of the Sydney autumn for three-year-olds and is run over the classic derby distance of 2400m at set weights.

Off the track, Harrolds will lend its name and reputation of modern luxury to the Fashion Chute which will be run over four days of the Sydney Racing Carnival.

The digital photo competition holds a prizepool of over $50,000 across four days including Harrolds gift vouchers and styling sessions, Emirates flights, Longines watches and gift certificates from The Star.

Australian Turf Club Acting Chief Executive Matt Galanos said that the partnership with Harrolds was an ideal brand fit for the Club.

“Harrolds is a wonderful alignment to not only one of the most prestigious racing events for three-year-olds on the Australian calendar, but also the Club’s reinvented fashion competition,” said Galanos.
