ATC Unveils Magical Month Of Racing & Festive Celebrations

Australian Turf Club is proud to announce its 2025 Summer & Christmas Festival of Racing, a spectacular line-up of festive events, world-class racing and unforgettable family entertainment across Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park this December.

On Friday, 5 December 2025 from early afternoon into the evening, Royal Randwick will host Randwick Twilight Christmas Festival.

A combination of the thrill of live racing, with free family-friendly festivities, free entry and a vibrant atmosphere.

Families can have their photos taken with Santa and his elves in the Winx Stand, alongside beloved characters, including the Gingerbread Man and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.

Mayor Dylan Parker will be in attendance, along with several Randwick City Councilors and will present the Randwick Mayors Cup as part of the day’s celebrations.

The Cambridge Markets return with more than 40 stalls showcasing a diverse mix of offerings, from children’s toys, locally designed fashion, jewellery, homewares, organic beauty products and plenty more.

It’s the perfect spot to discover unique gifts for friends and family and explore one-of-a-kind pieces from local artisans and creators. The food markets will also be at Royal Randwick, serving up a delicious selection of gourmet bites, sweet treats, and freshly made dishes, perfect for enjoying an afternoon, into night out at the races.

Jockey, Tommy Berry, alongside his wife, Sharnee, and their four children will be attending Royal Randwick to join in on the festive cheer.

Berry said: “Christmas is such a special time of year for our family, and the kids absolutely love coming to Royal Randwick during this time.

"There’s something magical about mixing the excitement of racing with the joy of the festive season. We can’t wait to soak it all in together.

"It’s a special time that reminds you why you love this sport and this community.”

On Sunday 7 December, Rosehill Gardens Raceday will celebrate a 10-race card, relaxed Summer Long Lunch dining, alongside a special visit from Santa, distributing candy canes and engaging with racegoers. Rosehill Gardens is now FREE entry for this raceday.

The annual Ingham Charity Raceday on Saturday, December 13 returns to Royal Randwick. This day honours the legacy of Bob Ingham AO and Jack Ingham AO, notable figures in Australian racing and benefactors of the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research.

The day’s highlight is The Ingham, a $2 million Group 2 race, formerly known as the Villiers Stakes. Proceeds from the day’s fundraising will support medical research initiatives.

At Canterbury Park, the Kia Friday Night Racing Series returns, held from Friday 14 November to Friday 27 February, celebrating Christmas on Friday 19 December.

This free-admission event offers evening racing under the lights, up to 30 food markets, Santa meet-and-greets, free children’s entertainment, and behind-the-scenes access to the stalls and mounting yard.

Sydney’s biggest Boxing Day party will wrap up the holiday celebrations at Royal Randwick on Friday 26 December.

Anticipated to be the second largest day on the Royal Randwick calendar after TAB Everest, for an unforgettable day of summer racing and entertainment.

DJs will feature throughout the course, while The Hard Rated Terrace transforms Level 1 of the Winx Stand into a vibrant hub with live entertainment, an energetic atmosphere and curated food and beverage offering.

For those interested in premium dining experiences, selected race days across the season offer elevated experiences, ideal for celebrating with family, friends, or colleagues.

Enjoy trackside views, specially curated Christmas menus, and flowing drinks, all within a vibrant Christmas setting, perfect for an unforgettable end-of-year celebration.

Steve McMahon, Interim CEO commented: “As we move toward the 2025 festive season, we’re excited to once again welcome guests to celebrate Christmas Racing with us.

"These racedays have become a much-loved tradition for families, friends, and communities, offering the perfect setting to come together and enjoy the spirit of the season. We look forward to hosting everyone for another memorable Christmas at the track.”
