ATC Board Appoints Matt Galanos As Chief Executive Officer

Australian Turf Club has today appointed Matt Galanos as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Galanos has been Acting CEO since April 2023 having previously served as Chief Financial Officer for 10 years.

Australian Turf Club Chairman, Peter McGauran said the Board was delighted to appoint Mr Galanos as CEO.

“Matt has key financial skills and extensive business experience in the racing industry which uniquely equips him to lead the ATC," Mr McGauran said.

“Matt’s knowledge of racing is critical to continuing to make our racing, with our partners Racing NSW, a leader in Australian racing.

“The Board’s appointment also recognises Matt’s business acumen in ensuring the ATC’s ongoing financial growth for Members, stakeholders and racegoers alike.

"Matt has a proven record of hard work and dedication to the Australian Turf Club and has developed a strong working relationship with the ATC Board and Racing NSW during his time as Acting CEO."

The ATC Board congratulates Matt on his new role as the Club looks forward to an expanded and exciting Sydney Everest Carnival.
