Appeal Lodged By Licensed Trainer Russell Green

Russell Green
Licensed trainer Russell Green has lodged an appeal against penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR175(h)(ii) and AR17.

On 21 September 2018, Mr Green was suspended for a period of six months, thus allowing him to resume training on 20 March 2019.

The penalty was the outcome of an inquiry into the detection of prohibited substances 2-(1-hydroxyethyl) promazine sulphoxide and 4-hydroxy xylazine in a post-race urine sample taken from Keepclamandcarryon after the horse placed 1st in Race 3 (Benchmark 55 Handicap, 1200m) at Cowra Racecourse on Saturday, 23rd June 2018.

This appeal has been set for Friday, 26th October 2018 to commence at 9:30am.
