Albury Racing Club Appoints New CEO

The Albury Racing Club Limited is very pleased to announce that it has appointed Michael Wighton as its Chief Executive Officer.

Michael's appointment coincides with the departure of long serving CEO John Miller who has accepted the position as the Chief Executive Officer of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club in Queensland.

Michael brings to the Albury Racing Club a wealth of experience in the registered club and sporting club industries. He is about to conclude a long term position as the general manager of the Corowa RSL Club Ltd. During his term as general manager, Michael has overseen very significant growth in a number of areas within that Club.

Michael looks forward to bringing his experience, enterprise and energy to the Albury Racing Club so as to continue to drive and promote the Club's status as one of the major regional racing clubs, not only in New South Wales, but also in Australia.

Michael looks forward to meeting our members, major sponsors, platinum and corporate sponsors and industry participants and to establishing strong links and lines of communication with them.

It is anticipated Michael will commence in his new position on and from 17 July 2017.
