AAP’s Caryl Williamson In Front In TAB Tipsters’ Challenge

A stunning tipping performance from Caryl Williamson of Australian Associated Press (AAP) has given her a commanding lead in the 2018 TAB Champion Tipster Challenge after Day 1 of The Championships at Royal Randwick Racecourse.

Williamson tipped four winners from five selections: Victorem ($4.20 win, $1.90 place) in the Newhaven Park Country Championships Final, Levendi ($5.70, $2.90) in the Harrolds Australian Derby, Trapeze Artist ($8.30, $2.40) in the Darley TJ Smith Stakes and Happy Clapper ($4.60, $1.80) in The Star Doncaster Mile.

From a hypothetical $10 each-way bet on the NSW TAB on each of her runners, Williamson has a balance of $318 to clearly lead the 24 other tipsters.

Tony Brassel from Sky Thoroughbred Central is in second place with $158 after two winners and two seconds, with The Sydney Morning Herald’s Andrew Webster in third place on $137 after two winners and one second.

The tipster with the largest balance at the completion of Day 2 of The Championships next Saturday 14 April will be crowned this year’s TAB Champion Tipster, with TAB kindly donating $5000 to the winner’s charity of choice.
