Outcome Of Appeal - Licensed Jockey Tye Angland

Licensed jockey Tye Angland lodged an appeal against penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR137(a) after his ride on Aramayo in Race 7 (Moet and Chandon Spring Champion Stakes, 2000m) at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 6th September 2018.

Following a Stewards inquiry on this date, Mr Angland was suspended for a period commencing Sunday, 14th October 2018 and to expire on Sunday, 21st October 2018 on which day he may ride.

The appeal was heard on Friday 12th October 2018, commencing at 9:30am.

The Panel gave the following orders:
1. The appeal on the severity of penalty is dismissed.
2. Penalty of a four meeting suspension confirmed, commencing Sunday, 14th October 2018 and to expire on Sunday, 21st October 2018 on which day he may ride.
3. The appeal deposit is forfeited.
