Outcome Of Appeal By Licensed Jockey Dean Holland

Licensed jockey Dean Holland has lodged an appeal against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR137(a) after his ride on Miss Admiration in Race 8 (The Heinieken 3 Metropolitan, 2400m) at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, 30th September 2018.

Following a Stewards inquiry on this date, Mr Holland was suspended for a period commencing Wednesday, 3rd October and to expire on Wednesday, 24th October 2018 on which day he may ride.

This appeal was heard on Friday, 5th October 2018.

The Panel gave the following orders:

1. Appeal against finding of breach of AR137(a) upheld,
2. Finding of breach of AR137(a) set aside,
3. Penalty of a three-week suspension set aside,
4. Appeal deposit to be refunded.
