Licensed Jockey Jenny Duggan Lodges An Appeal

Licensed jockey Jenny Duggan has lodged an appeal against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR137(b) after her ride on Time Of Glory in Race 5 (Paul McKenzie Scaffolding Newcastle Nobbys-Benchmark 70 Handicap, 1350m) at Newcastle Racecourse on 26th January 2019.

Following a Stewards inquiry on Tuesday, 26th February 2019, Ms Duggan was suspended for a period commencing on Friday, 8th March 2018 and to expire on Monday, 8th April on which day she may ride.

On application of the Appellant, which was not opposed by the Stewards, the penalty imposed by the Stewards is stayed until further order of the Panel.

The appeal date is yet to be set.
