Injured Trackwork Rider Update - Alana Pearson (Randwick, Mon)

Please be advised Alana Pearson, a trackwork rider for the Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott stable, was dislodged at Randwick this morning. Alana has sustained an injury to her arm and has been transported to hospital for further examination.

[Update at 1:45pm on Monday 6th April]: Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth reports that Alana has suffered a nasty fracture dislocation of her shoulder and is at St Vincent’s Hospital. Alana will be getting transferred to the Sydney Adventist Hospital this afternoon and will have reconstructive surgery by Dr Duckworth tonight or tomorrow morning.
