Injured Trackwork Rider - Denis Linehan (Randwick, Wednesday)

Trackwork rider Denis Linehan suffered a fall around 6:45am today at Randwick near the home turn on the sand track.

It was reported that Denis was cantering and his horse who then stumbled, causing the rider to be dislodged.

The ambulance officers that attended reported a suspected broken collarbone. Denis is now at Prince of Wales Hospital awaiting scans.

[Update at 4pm on Wednesday 27th March]: Racing NSW's Dr. David Duckworth reports that Denis has suffered a fractured clavicle. He will be seeing Dr. Duckworth on Thursday and may possibly need surgery.
