Bell-Pitomac's Rising Star Win A Beauty

Kath Bell-Pitomac has celebrated her first Rising Star Series race victory, easily taking out heat 23 at Dubbo on Sunday.

She guided Skin Deep down the outside to salute by almost two lengths for Mudgee trainer, Gayna Williams.

Mikayla Weir climbed to 2nd spot on the Rising Star ladder after finishing runner-up on Skin Deep's stablemate, Foxdown.

Jean Van Overmeire maintains the series lead with 33 points, ahead of Mikayla Weir on 32 and Rachel King and Olivia Pickering sharing equal third spot with 29 points.

The series heads to Newcastle on Tuesday, 8th May with the final heat at Bathurst on Sunday, 3rd June.

The Rising Star Final will be run at Hawkesbury on Thursday, June 21st.
