Position Vacant - Manager: Wagering Integrity & Senior Analyst

Racing NSW is the representative body appointed for leadership and regulation of the thoroughbred horse racing throughout NSW.  An excellent opportunity has arisen to be employed in this exciting industry and work closely with the Stipendiary Stewards and Investigations and Surveillance Unit to maintain the integrity of the thoroughbred racing industry.

Based in the Sydney CBD offices of Racing NSW and reporting to the General Manager – Integrity, the successful applicant shall be responsible for managing the Racing NSW Integrity Studio which reviews and investigates wagering on NSW thoroughbred racing, along with the auditing of Racefields information provided by Wagering Operators. The role is also responsible for liaising with Racing NSW Stipendiary Stewards on raceday to provide up-to-date betting information along with assistance in form analysis.

The position involves being a liaison contact point with Wagering Operators, punters and completing analysis of betting information and reported turnover of these operators.

The position requires working a five out of seven-day week roster - due to the nature of the position rotational weekend work is required. The successful applicant will have demonstrated skills in betting and form analysis and a thorough understanding of the legislation, Rules of Racing and government regulations relative to racing in NSW.

If you are decisive, proactive and self-motivated and have:

  • strong analytical skills, including extensive skills in wagering analysis
  • knowledge of the Rules of Racing, Government Legislation & Regulations
  • the ability to work well both independently and part of a team
  • an interest in horse racing
  • excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written communication
  • the ability to work well under pressure
  • proven keyboard skills and demonstrated knowledge in Word and Excel, including the production of reports and graphs
