Employment Opportunity - Stipendiary Steward (Metropolitan Panel)

Racing NSW is the peak body for thoroughbred horse racing throughout NSW. Its responsibilities include commercial, regulatory and integrity leadership of the industry.

Racing NSW Stipendiary Stewards are acknowledged both nationally and internationally, having responsibility for the administration and control of racing in NSW.
Applications are invited for a Stipendiary Steward on the Racing NSW Metropolitan Panel.

Based at our offices located in the Sydney CBD the successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the chairing of race meetings;
  • Proven knowledge of the Australian Rules of Racing;
  • Experience in the area of Stipendiary Stewards’ responsibilities;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Capacity to work well under pressure to meet team and department objectives;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Word and Excel and computer skills; and
  • a valid driver’s licence

Due to the inherent nature of the position, you will be required you to work on a five out of seven-day roster basis and attend venues and racetracks throughout the greater Sydney region.

Shortlisted applicants will undergo a probity check.  The provision of disclosure statements and adherence to the Racing NSW Code of Conduct for Stipendiary Stewards are necessary requirements.
