About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Marketing and Events professional to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Covering various aspects of our business, you will primarily be responsible for spearheading efforts to drive business opportunities for membership engagement, executing TEG events (Brew-B-Q & Taste The Coast), racedays and raceday activations.
Primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies for racedays, raceday activations and TEG events, as well as assisting with securing new business, clients and partnerships.
By leveraging strong market research, creative marketing campaigns, and effective relationship management skills, this role is responsible for exploring new revenue streams and market segments, driving growth, value and retention, as well as fostering both new and existing relationships.
This role is responsible for planning, creating and publishing engaging campaigns across multiple digital platforms, including CANVA, MailChimp, Greenvelope, social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, event listing sites and staying up to date with relevant additional upcoming platforms.
This includes video content creation, such as reels, scheduling and performance tracking for our business.
What You'll Be Doing
This role has three main focuses:
Membership
Manage the membership offering, including growth, inclusions and retention.
Membership liaison.
Events
Ownership of TEG events - This includes our Members Cocktail Party, Brew_B-Q and Taste the Coast. This would include concept, marketing, sales and delivery.
Raceday activations - Presenting options, booking and management of promotions/activations that add value and customer experience.
Marketing - Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager with event marketing, primarily focused on digital/social media.
Special Projects
Identification and implementation of new business ventures primarily focused on hospitality.
What We're Looking For:
Extensive (2-3 years) experience in event management within the hospitality or tourism industry.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
A strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
A passion for the hospitality and entertainment industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Proven experience in using social/digital media to promote events/products.
