APPLICATIONS FOR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – HAWKESBURY RACE CLUB

Hawkesbury Race Club is seeking to appoint a leader to help develop and grow the club in line
with the strategic direction and values of the board and membership and build upon the strong
reputation the club has within the racing industry.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Strong industry knowledge
  • Excellent public relations and stakeholder engagement
  • Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to engage with a diverse range of community members and stakeholders

throughout all facets of the role

  • Experience with overseeing budget preparation, financial analysis, project management, strategic planning, marketing, compliance and event management.
  • Knowledge of and passion for thoroughbred racing and their respective standards and rules.
  • Capacity to work individually as well as in a team environment, with the board and the racing industry governing body.
  • Thorough understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation.

This is a full-time role and the CEO will be expected to work on-site at Hawkesbury racecourse.
