NEWCASTLE (Wednesday 19th January)
Race 1, No.6 - HATSUKO: Trainer Kylie Gavenlock has advised the filly underwent surgery to remove a sequestrum from its near hind leg since it last raced in July 2021. The horse has since trialled once (Gosford 6/1/22).
Race 2, No.5 - RAPID RELOAD: Co-trainer Martha Cave advised the gelding has undergone surgery to remove a bone chip from its near hind fetlock. The horse has since trialled on two occasions (Hawkesbury 22/11/21 and Warwick Farm 30/12/21).
Race 2, No.7 - ADULTING: The Ryan/Alexiou stable advised the mare had a tibial stress fracture in the near hind leg. The horse has since met the requirements of the Racing NSW Policy on Fractures and Other Major Orthopaedic Injuries including a satisfactory barrier trial (Rosehill 14/12/21 and 4/1/22).
