Liam Blanch Celebrates First Rising Star Win At Coffs

Liam Blanch [pictured left] celebrated his first Rising Star Series win after taking out Heat 6 at Coffs Harbour on Thursday (December 30th).

Blanch scored a narrow victory with the Jim Jarvis prepared Bonchevo ($18) to defeat Series leader, Bailey Wheeler on Phule ($1.90 favourite), with Jai Williams third on Free Spin ($31).

Wheeler extended his Series lead to 18 points, sitting ahead of Georgina McDonnell (11 points) and Madi Derrick (10). Warwick Farm will host Heat 7 on January 5th.
