Injured Rider Update - Lachlan Scorse (Taree)

Apprentice jockey Lachlan Scorse was involved in a race fall when four riders were dislodged at around the 500m at Taree on Sunday (29th October).

[Update at 3pm on Tuesday 7th November]: Lachlan is still in the high dependency ward but he’s making gradual progress. Lachlan is a little more awake, he’s talking and is now eating.

[Update at 8pm on Friday]: Lachlan remains in the high dependency unit being observed and monitored. He is awaiting an MRI scan of his brain.

[Update at 3pm on Tuesday]: Lachlan is slowly improving. He is being moved out of ICU today and going to a high dependency ward where he’ll continue to be monitored regularly.

[Update at 9am on Tuesday]: Lachlan remains in a stable condition in ICU.

[Update at 4pm on Monday]: Lachlan has been extubated and remains in ICU. He is still under close observation for the next 24 hours.

[Update at 9:30am on Monday]: Lachlan is still intubated and sedated. Doctors will be reassessing him this morning and ordering more scans to assess further management.

[Update at 8pm on Sunday]: Lachlan Scorse is in an induced coma currently undergoing scans in hospital.
