Gear Clarification - Wings Of Desire (Randwick-Sat & Canberra-Sun)
Racing NSW Stewards wish to clarify the gear to be worn by WINGS OF DESIRE (trained by Michael Freedman), which has been accepted to race at both Royal Randwick on Saturday and Canberra on Sunday.
A gear change was approved this morning for Winkers ON (first time), however, this gear change will only apply should the filly race at Canberra on Sunday, where it is an acceptor in Race 5 (Listed-Tooheys Canberra Guineas, 1400m).
But should WINGS OF DESIRE race at Randwick on Saturday, where it is an acceptor in Race 5 (Group 3-Mostyncopper Aspiration Quality, 1600m), the gear change has not been approved for this meeting so it will race with the gear originally advertised (pre-race ear muffs, barrier blanket and barrier extension).
