Employment Opportunity: Racetrack Manager (Gundagai)

Gundagai-Adelong Racing Club is seeking applications from suitable candidates for the position of Racetrack Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee turf and irrigation management, including maintenance and installation
  • Manage track operations and scheduling for racing and non-racing events
  • Develop, document, and implement operational systems to ensure efficient track management
  • Exercise initiative in addressing unforeseen circumstances and challenges
  • Interpret plans and specifications related to track maintenance and improvement projects
  • Supervise staff and coordinate daily activities to maintain track quality and safety

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Turf Management / Horticulture
  • NSW driver’s licence
  • Chemcert accreditation
  • Computer literacy (desirable)
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and professionalism

Position Details:

  • Full-time position
  • Weekend availability required to facilitate race meetings
  • Gundagai-Adelong Jockey Club conducts seven race meetings annually
