Change Of Tactics For Bel Diablo & Artistic Beauty (Gilgandra, Sun)

Racing NSW Stewards have clarified the tactics to be issued at Sunday’s Gilgandra Cup meeting.

BEL DIABLO (race 6: Benchmark 61 Handicap, 1300m): Trainer David Smith has advised that with the anticipated fast speed in the race, he will instruct rider Jake Pracey-Holmes to take benefit of the inside barrier (drawn barrier one) and take up a forward position, however, if on-speed runners that have drawn to Bel Diablo’s outside show greater intent to lead, Jake Pracey-Holmes will be given the option to settle in behind the leading pair, but ideally not further back than fourth.

ARTISTIC BEAUTY (race 7: Gilgandra Cup, 1600m): Trainer Cameron Crockett has advised he removed the ear muffs from Artistic Beauty and intends to have the mare ridden further forward.
