Applications For Positions Of Independent Directors (Wagga)

Murrumbidgee Turf Club Limited (MTC) and Racing NSW are seeking applications to fill four (4) independent Director positions.

About Us
Murrumbidgee Turf Club (MTC), based in Wagga Wagga, is one of Australia’s leading country Thoroughbred racing venues, known for its strong community ties and a proud history of delivering high-quality racing.

Hosting 25 Thoroughbred race meetings each year, the highlight of the MTC is the prestigious Wagga Wagga Gold Cup Carnival in May - a premier two-day event that draws a crowd in excess of 14,000 people and showcases the best in racing, fashion and regional hospitality.

Murrumbidgee Turf Club’s picturesque gardens, great venues and ample parking makes them the ideal place to hold weddings, seminars, conferences and expos within the Riverina region.

We are seeking passionate and strategic individuals to join our Board of Directors. As an Independent Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the Club, helping to grow its legacy, drive innovation and enhance the experience for members, participants and the wider community.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of country racing’s most respected institutions. If you are eager to help steer the future of Thoroughbred racing in the Riverina, we invite you to apply today.

About You
Murrumbidgee Turf Club is seeking candidates who are committed to strengthening the Club and shaping its future as a leading Thoroughbred racing and training centre within provincial NSW.

People experienced and qualified in law, accounting, business management, commerce, construction, marketing and event management or other key business skills are encouraged to apply.

Appointment Process
A Selection Panel, convened by Racing NSW, will review applications, shortlist candidates and conduct interviews. Final appointments will be made by Racing NSW based on the Selection Panel’s
recommendations and the skills needed to complement existing Board members.

Special Conditions
