Lismore Turf Club will host the opening Country Championships meeting on Saturday 17th February, being the first time the coveted series has been to Lismore. This is followed by Albury Racing Club on Sunday 18th February.

Now in its 10th year running, the Newhaven Park Country Championships continues to highlight the strength of Country Racing across NSW.

There is now $2.35 million in total prizemoney on offer exclusively for NSW Country and ACT trained horses.

There will be seven regional Country Championship races with prizemoney of $150,000 each, to crown the leading contender from each region.

The winner and second placegetter in each race will qualify for the $1 million Newhaven Park Country Championships final to be held at Royal Randwick on 6th April on Day 1 of The Star Championships.

There will also be two Wild Card races carrying prizemoney of $150,000 each. The winners of each of these races will also qualify for the $1 million Final.
