Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker will be hoping to strike early at Mudgee on Sunday when he sends around three runners in the opening two races.
Baker will start the day when Viktor contests the Mudgee Ladies Day Maiden Plate (1400m) with Ashley Morgan to ride, while he will send around his pair of Tigletta and A Bar In Paris in the XXXX Gold Silver Goblet Preview – 2YO Handicap (1100m) with Robbie Downey and Olivia Chambers taking the respective rides.

“It would be nice if we could win the first two races,” said Baker.
“Viktor looks to be in a race that will suit him. He’s only had the seven starts and he’s been placed in three of them so he’s certainly ready to win.
“He wasn’t beaten too far in a handy race at Canterbury at his latest start, so I’d expect him to be very hard to hold out at Mudgee with Ash [Morgan] taking the ride.”
Tigletta is a two-year-old filly by Capitalist while A Bar In Paris is a daughter of Rubick. Both fillies are coming into the Mudgee event on the back of last start seconds.
“Tigletta was on debut at Nowra, and she ran well when racing on the speed and finishing second,” Baker said.
“She’s come on well since that run and I’d like to think she will take plenty of beating on Sunday.
“A Bar In Paris was resuming at Mudgee at her latest start, and she also ran well when finishing second. If she can run up to that effort, then she should be hard to hold out as well.”
Morgan, meanwhile, has a number of other mounts awaiting at Mudgee in addition to Viktor.
He will partner Czech Her Out for Tracey Bartley when the filly takes on Tigletta and A Bar In Paris.
Morgan’s remaining three rides are all for local trainer Mack Griffith.
He will partner Wolf Club in the Kristie’s Boutique Benchmark 58 Handicap (2000m), Medinah in the Gooree Park Benchmark 82 Handicap (1400m) and Sanzeno in the Mudgee Florist Class 2 Handicap (1400m).
