It is with great sadness that Racing NSW has been advised of the passing of much-loved Southern Districts Racing Association (SDRA) Treasurer and Corowa Race Club President, Mr Brian Scolyer.

Brian had been in care for the past few months and passed away on Wednesday (8th October 2025) aged 85.

A long-serving and highly respected member of both Corowa Race Club and the SDRA, Brian had been President of Corowa Race Club for almost 10 years following many years of dedicated service as a committee member.

Mr Scolyer's contribution to country racing, his leadership and genuine love for the sport will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Brian’s funeral will be held at Tobin Brothers Funeral Home on  Thursday, 16th October 2025 from 2pm.
