Updates - Old Man Sam & Can't Find Snippy (Randwick, Saturday)

Please see the latest updates on two runners in Saturday's Provincial Championships Final at Royal Randwick on Saturday.

Old Man Sam - Provincial Championships Final
Trainer Michael Tubman has reported to Racing NSW Stewards that Old Man Sam, a qualifier in The Provincial Championships Final, has continued to improve after being found to have a near hind leg foot abscess. Mr Tubman advised Old Man Sam galloped this morning and was inspected by his stable veterinarian who advised whilst still a little sensitive in the foot, the condition had improved. Mr Tubman advised Old Man Sam shall be inspected again later this week by his stable veterinarian and undertook to advise Stewards on the gelding's progress. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing in the Final.

Can’t Find Snippy - Provincial Championships Final
Veterinarian Dr Mitchell Brown has advised Racing NSW Stewards that his inspection of Can’t Find Snippy this afternoon has found the abscess sustained to the near fore foot has continued to improve. Dr Brown advised he shall conduct a further assessment of Can’t Find Snippy on Thursday, 12 April 2018. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing in the Final.
