Tom Sherry Claims His First Rising Star Series Win

Tom Sherry celebrated his first Rising Star Series victory on Thursday after winning heat 12 at Scone.

Sherry piloted the favourite Hercules Mo ($1.65) to take winning honours for trainer Gregory McFarlane.

Series leader Qin Yong secured three points on third-placed Drusilla ($5.50) to increase his points tally to 40.

Runner-up at Scone was Yvette Lewis (More Spice, $16) and she maintains second spot on the ladder with 21 points ahead of Billy Owen in third position with 18.

Heat 13 will be run at Albury on Monday (4th February).
