Sky Sports Radio's Drought-Breaker Roadshow

Sky Sports Radio will roll-out its 'Drought-Breaker Travelling Roadshow' kicking off at SCONE from 9am on Tuesday (28th August).

"Things are really grim in the bush at the moment so we thought it would be a good idea to travel around the State to let everyone know just how bad things are," said Sky Sports Radio's Andrew Bensley, host of the daily show 'HQ' (9-10am).

"This is something we're really excited about as we'll be spending a week on the road starting with Scone where we'll have plenty of local trainers and farmers on-air talking about the drought and the battles they face.

"And Racing NSW's CEO, Peter V'landys, will talk to us via phone about the $1 million drought relief package they've put in place to help out.

"Everyone has got right behind this project with the trainers especially very helpful. In fact, we could even have too many people coming on the radio, such has been the response.

"After Scone, we will broadcast from Kody Nestor's property at Dubbo on the Wednesday before heading to Wagga Wagga on Thursday.

"Big Sports Breakfast will be broadcasting from Wagga Wagga before us from 5:30am hosted by 'TK' (Terry Kennedy) and NSW State of Origin coach Laurie Daley. Of course, it is a homecoming for Laurie as he was born in nearby Junee.

"We will wrap up the week when we broadcast from Goulburn on Friday."

SCHEDULE (9-10am each day)
Tuesday (28th Aug) - SCONE
Wednesday (29th Aug) - DUBBO
Thursday (30th Aug) - WAGGA WAGGA (from 5:30am)
Friday (31st Aug) - GOULBURN
