Race 1 - 2:10PM RADIO GOULBURN CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE (2140 M)

3. Septimus has really found his staying rhythm with a win and two placings in his past three tough legs tests. Proven weight carrier setting a strong standard against these. 1. Dunwithya is still learning his trade but is bred to stay like a relative at Christmas. Should find plenty of traction in a limited line up. 8. Rita’s Pearl has the ideal fitness base for a staying contest and finds easier than recent line-ups. Better cheque prospects. 5. Farraige tackles his third run in as many weeks. Yet to win one but kind draw and his right trip give him every opportunity to cash in.

How to play it: Septimus win ($ TAB Fixed Odds $1.85F)

Race 2 - 2:45PM BRYANT'S PIES CLASS 2 HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

6. Maz Kanata is a sharp mare on her day. Jumps 4kg but should get a solid speed to work home off and drops sharply in grade. 4. Iowna Benz is a capable short course horse resuming off two free-running trials. Expected catch me if you can tactics play him into contention. 1. Extreme Diamond resumed with a classy win at this venue and deserves extra weight from that. Should be rattling home again. 3. Boomtown Chat was ridden positively first up at this venue in a solid campaign kick-off. Fitter with a firm track again in his favour. Upside chance.

How to play it: Maz Kanata each way. ($6.00 TAB Fixed Odds)

Race 3 - 3:25PM SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS FOODS CLASS 3 HANDICAP (1200m)

Tough as teak mare 2. Tonkatsu Goddess has all round appeal at a trip she excels at with a low draw. Did enough at Newcastle last start after a freshen up to rate just right. 5. Kreon found more spook than spruik when looking all over the winner at this venue last time out. With a run of the race gate should tease right to the line. 3. Lambay is a proven first up funds finder resuming without an official trial. Versatile type at home in this grade. 6. Manwari has gone flowers to perfume of late on firmer tracks pegging a hatrick of wins to his resume. Ideally drawn for a stiffer test over slightly further.

How to play it: Tonkatsu Goddess win ($4.00 TAB Fixed Odds)

Race 4 - 4:05PM GOULBURN EXPRESS FREIGHT MAIDEN HANDICAP (1400m)

4. Magenta Shores warmed up late first up at Canberra in a solid form race and is a horse proven out at this type of trip. Positive draw and senior rider shout get involved. 8. Elysium travels a long way for his debut but finds a cute draw. Has hinted at something in his trials and blinkers applied, Senior rider steers so must keep safe. 1. Babyfaced Assassin has been hit or miss in five starts but gets a key rider change. Capable of a sharper effort second up. 3. Glenn’s Legacy got to the line when it mattered last start for a horse stepping up in trip. Blinkers go back on and has the home track advantage. Can't be ignored.

How to play it: Magenta Shores win ($5.00 TAB Fixed Odds)

Race 5 - 4:40PM GOULBURN AUSTRALIA COUNTRY BOOSTED B58 HCP (1600m)

1. Ghost Walker lumps the grandstand but is as genuine as they come. Gets to a home track option third up and latest runner up effort in Highway grade has been form franked since. 4. Hurricane Coni burnt some early juice at the same track and trip last start but was only collared late. Latham sticks solid and race fitness buys him extra kudos now. Liked the effort of 3. Gold Tracker at this track two starts back and finds his ideal conditions this time. Slight query at a mile but racing in great heart. 8. Ziggy Rose sets up as a genuine miler after a brave win in maiden grade last start at Moruya. Harder now but can lay low early from a kind draw.

How to play it: Ghost Walker win ($2.60F TAB Fixed Odds)

Race 6 - 5:15PM M.J. DALE RACING COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE (1200m)

3. Stormbringer may need further this time in but does land a winnable assignment first up. Showed serious game early in his first campaign and blinkers come off. All set for a first up crush. Looks like the penny has dropped for 9. Elasand who's found much more competitive drive in her past two contests. Low draw lights her up as a key chance. 8. Sacred Inferno has netted top three money in three country maiden contests coming into this and no long float trip today. Despite a tricky draw has the right form to win. 2. Slater's Boy showed more quality first up and looks on his way to a more productive campaign.

Race 7 - 5:50PM HOMEBASE REAL ESTATE MAIDEN PLATE (1100m)

11. Royal Princess only has to gain a start to put the wind up this lot. Stays sharply in focus after a city winter debut and a stylish trial recently at Warwick Farm. 2. Floral Legend has proven short course bona fides and has tried hard in all three runs this time in. Expected to go close in a competitive sprint. 1. Will One was all rush and hustle in a brave on-pace debut but will need more of the same to get past a wide draw, With natural improvement remains a key chance. 5. Carafe has had three unplaced trials pre-debut but senior rider and the petrol investment suggests serious intent to kick off his career.

How to play it: Royal Princess win ($6.50 TAB Fixed Odds)
