Roughie Lands The Major Prize In Tullibigeal Picnic Cup

One of the outsiders of the field Namarari has claimed the Dunk Insurance & Frampton Flat Feedlot Tullibigeal Picnic Cup (1600m).

Sent out at $18, the Tumbaraumba-trained gelding gripped on determindly with Zara Lewis aboard to win the Cup by a long neck.

Basso Caruso (Catherine Masters, $3.50) was runner-up with Valadyium (Izzy Neale, $6) half a head away in third position.

The win gave Namarari 10 points in the NSW Picnic Champion Series and elevates him to a total of 12 points.

Linden Tree was the $3.20 favourite at Tullibigeal but could only manage to finish fourth but retains the lead in the point score with the two points moving him to 30 points.

The next chance to earn points will be at BACK O'BOURKE PICNICS on Sunday (31st March).
