Racing Mates To Host Coffs Harbour Morning Tea Get-Together

Racing industry participants in the Northern Rivers Racing Districts are invited to attend the next Racing Mates Morning Tea ‘Get-together’, which will be held in the Jockeys Room of the Coffs Harbour Racing Club on Wednesday, April 24th from 10am.

Racing Mates is a peer support initiative that was established by Racing NSW in 2016, empowering mates to look out for mates.

The peer support group has held several morning teas and workshops previously across New South Wales, and, the Coffs Harbour session is the first to be rolled out for 2019.

“We are looking forward to catching up with participants of the Northern Rivers,” said Pat Webster, a Racing Mates ambassador. “Our morning tea get-togethers provide a great opportunity for the racing community to come together for a chat.

“Support from peers and colleagues can make a big difference in coping with stress and difficult situations, and that’s what Racing Mates is all about.”

Racing Mates has appointed several Ambassadors across NSW that are available as a port of call when industry participants are in need of a mate.

The Ambassadors possess a wealth of industry knowledge allowing them to relate to multifaceted concerns people may be experiencing.

Industry-specific expertise combined with accredited training ensures Ambassadors can provide a crucial link between those in need and the required support.

The Coffs Harbour morning tea get-together will be held on Wednesday 24th April, from 10am at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club Jockeys Room, at Howard Street, Coffs Harbour.

“Come and join friends and colleagues to get together and enjoy morning tea,” Webster added. For further information contact Pat Webster on 0418 644 955.
