Osland Represented By A Third Of Cup Field At Gunnedah

By Geoff Newling

Armidale trainer Stirling Osland dominates Monday’s $22,000 Holley Coal Haulage Curlewis Cup (1400m) with three of the nine runners.

Osland starts Exilia Miss, Rage Against and New Endeavour in the feature race. All three will be run well, the Armidale trainer hopes.

“I’ve got a chance haven’t I,” he joked at Saturday’s Christmas in July Quast Turkeys Tamworth meeting. “It’s the right race for New Endeavour,” he added.

“Rage Against was a good run here (Tamworth) last start. He should be up on the pace and roll along.

"Beale Street (Gavin Groth) should be up there and they should run it along at a fair pace.

“She (Exilia Miss) can sit out the back and has won first-up over 1100m before and if they do roll along she can hit the line.”

Osland believes she will appreciate the “nice, big track”.
