NSW Race Meetings – Current Status (Due To Wet Weather)

Please note the following:

SATURDAY 24th May
Royal Randwick
Track rated a Heavy 10 with 62.5mls of rain over the last 24 hrs and 161mls the past 7 days. Some rain is hanging around Sydney but no further rain is forecast on Saturday and a top of 21 degrees on raceday.

Newcastle - now MONDAY
Newcastle Racecourse has been deemed unsuitable for racing following 108mls of rainfall in the last 24 hrs and 290mls over the past week. With a favourable weather forecast over the weekend the race meeting has been moved to Monday (26th May).

Wagga-Riverside
Track rated a Heavy 9 with 30mls of rain over the last 24 hrs and 32mls the past 7 days. There is a high chance of rain today but then no rain is forecast on Saturday with a top of 18 degrees on raceday.

Moree (picnics)
Track rated a Soft 7 with no rain over the last 24 hrs and 65mls the past 7 days. There is a slight chance of rain today but easing to little or no rain on Saturday with a top of 22 degrees on raceday.

Wauchope (non-TAB) - ABANDONED
The track is unraceable following very heavy rain (300mls past 7 days) with the meeting abandoned.

SUNDAY 25th May
Gunnedah
Track rated a Soft 6 with no overnight rain and 13mls the past 7 days. There is a slight chance of a shower today with no rain predicted on Saturday. Then there's a slight chance of rain on Sunday with a top of 20 degrees on raceday.

Nowra - ABANDONED
The Nowra race meeting scheduled for Sunday has been abandoned. The Nowra course is unsuitable for racing after receiving 85mls of rainfall over the last 24 hours and 150mls during the past 7 days.

MONDAY 26th May
Bathurst
Track rated a Heavy 8 with 7mls of rain over the last 24 hrs and 22mls the past 7 days. There is a medium to high chance of showers today & tomorrow then no rain for Sunday with a possible shower on Monday and a top of 18 degrees on raceday.

Taree - ABANDONED
The meeting has been abandoned following the recent severe flooding and extreme weather events that have occurred in the region.

TUESDAY 27th May
Hawkesbury
Track rated a Heavy 10 with 180mls of rain over the last 24 hrs and 249mls the past 7 days. There is a high chance of showers today but no rain predicted over the weekend with a slight chance on Mon-Tues with a top of 18 degrees on raceday.

Albury
Track rated a Soft 6 with 13mls of rain over the last 24 hrs and 13mls the past 7 days. There is a high chance of showers Fri-Sun before easing to a slight to medium chance of showers Mon-Tues with a top of 14 degrees on raceday.

Rosehill Trials
A new set of Rosehill barrier trials have been scheduled for Tuesday with nominations closing at 11am on Friday (23rd May).

WEDNESDAY 28th May
Canterbury Park
Track rated a Heavy 10 with 96mls of rain over the last 24 hrs and 156mls the past 7 days. There is a high chance of rain today but then little to no rain forecast until Weds with a top of 19 degrees on raceday.
