NSW Race Meetings – Status (Due To Wet Weather)

Please note the following:

SATURDAY 11th May
Newcastle (Heavy 9)
The Gosford Stand-Alone Saturday meeting was transferred to Newcastle with the weather forecast of further rainfall when already a Heavy 10, including on raceday. Newcastle is currently rated a Heavy 9 where the forecast is for a high chance of rain this afternoon.

Kembla Grange - ABANDONED
Racing NSW Stewards inspected the track and deemed it unsuitable for racing following 204mls of rainfall over the past seven days and a forecast for further rain over the weekend. With no suitable alternative venues the meeting has now been abandoned.

Tuncurry - ABANDONED
The course has been deemed unsuitable for racing after receiving 70mls of rainfall over the past 7 days and a further 30mls of rain forecast on Saturday.

Marthaguy Picnics - POSTPONED
Marthaguy picnic races (at Quambone) have been moved following recent wet weather resulting in certain parts of the track unsuitable for racing and a forecast for further rainfall. The Marthaguy meeting has now been rescheduled to Saturday, 29th June 2024.

SUNDAY 12th May
Mudgee (Soft 5)
Mudgee currently has cloudy weather but there is a high chance of rain on Saturday before easing to a medium chance of rain on raceday.

Sapphire Coast - Transferred To QUEANBEYAN
Racing NSW Stewards inspected the Sapphire Coast track and deemed it unsuitable for racing following 50mls of rainfall over the past seven days and a further forecast of 40mls of rain over the weekend. As a result the race meeting scheduled for Sapphire Coast on Sunday has been transferred to Queanbeyan. The Queanbeyan track is currently rated a Soft 5 with the rail out 3m from the 900m to the 275m and TRUE the remainder.

MONDAY 13th May
Muswellbrook (Heavy 8)
Muswellbrook currently has cloudy weather with the high chance of rain on Saturday before easing on Sunday and very little rain forecast for raceday.

Nowra (trials) - ABANDONED
The non-raceday barrier trials scheduled for Monday have been abandoned due to the current state of the track.

TUESDAY 14th May
Hawkesbury (Heavy 8)
Hawkesbury currently has cloudy weather with the high chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday before a medium chance of showers on Monday and no rain forecast for raceday.

Kempsey - ABANDONED
The course has been deemed unsuitable for racing after receiving 45mls of rainfall over the past 7 days and a further 17mls of rain forecast over the weekend.

Armidale (Soft 7)
This is a new replacement race meeting with the course currently rated a Soft 7 having received 1ml of rainfall over the past 24 hours. Armidale currently has cloudy weather with the medium to high chance of rain on Saturday before easing on Sunday with no rain forecast for Monday and raceday. View the eight-race program - HERE
