Julia Presits Trains Tomingley Cup Winner Avoid Me

Former jockey now Muswellbrook-based trainer Julia Presits has claimed the Alkane Resources Tomingley Picnic Cup with Avoid Me who recorded just her second win in 46 starts.

The five-year-old mare was ridden by Leandro Ribeiro and at $4.60 defeated Boys Cry (Tamsin Gough, $13) by nearly three lengths.

Blackhill Kitty (Anaelle Gangotena, $4.60) finished third with $2.50 favourite Bright Legend (Arthur Pollock) coming in sixth.

It was the first leg of a winning double for Ribeiro who was also successful in the final event aboard Orcym Busby ($4.40).

Jockey Ashley Boyd also scored a winning double having taken out the first two events on Ilikesooboogie ($1.80 favourite) and Zillions ($3.20).

The next chance to earn points will be at GRENFELL PICNICS on Saturday 12th April.
