Selections based on a soft track

1. Dazzling Peace is a gelding on debut for a good stable and he comes into this having finished second in his only trial at Ballina. The winner of that trial, Sinatra, ran well at Lismore on Sunday. 2. Rupestris debuted at Doomben back in April with a fifth placing at Doomben. He was spelled after that and has finished third in two trials in preparation for this return to racing. 3. Prestige Gundy had two trials before having his first start at Ballina when finishing seventh. He should be improved by that run. 9. Zelenka is a filly by Prague having her first race start here and she wasn’t beaten too far in her only trial at this track.

How to play it: Dazzling Peace WIN.

1. Invincible Red was down the track at Gunnedah before improving with a last start second at Tamworth when hitting the line well in a small field. He looks hard to hold out here at his best, 2. Teser is a former Victorian that has had one run for the new stable for a fourth at the Gold Coast. 6. Warrior Head won at Gatton before a second at Kilcoy and is racing well enough to give this a shake. 10. Steel Impact was midfield at Eagle Farm when last produced and bears close watching.

How to play it: Invincible Red EACH WAY.

4. Sethfire had solid form at the end of his last campaign including three straight placings. He had two trials before resuming with a solid finishing fourth at Port Macquarie when beaten less than a length. The step up in distance here suits. 9. Elite Delight was placed at Moruya when last produced and a repeat of that would have her in the finish here. 10. Sea Me Dance was placed behind Icewater at Ballina and Icewater won again at Lismore on Sunday. 11. Share Trader ran third to Icewater in the Ballina event.

How to play it: Sethfire WIN.

6. Another Cashie was placed in a couple of trials before making his debut and finishing a close second in a Ballina event. He only needs to have maintained that form to be hard to hold out against these. 3. Star Venture had had plenty of chances but has been placed in five of 13 starts and finished third at the Gold Coast at her latest. 9. Strenuous was placed behind a handy one at Ipswich at his second start and was then spelled. 11. Zellweger ran fifth in the race Another Cashie contested and can get into the minor money.

How to play it: Another Cashie WIN.

9. Calido Magic was a winner at Gosford before being close-up in three Highway events at Randwick. He finished third at Hawkesbury at his latest start behind a couple of handy ones and looks hard to hold out in this company. 7. Queen Of A Hand has looked good winning three on end and should take plenty of beating again. 6. She’s Exotic won at Ipswich when resuming and will find this easier than her two subsequent runs. 1. Code In Time is handy at best and wasn’t beaten far when eighth at Eagle Farm at his latest start.

How to play it: Calido Magic WIN.

3. Amarone raced on the speed when running second at Taree before finishing off well for a last start third at Muswellbrook. He looks ready to win again in this event. 7. Got The Smarts doesn’t win often but she is ultra consistent and is rarely far from the action. Another bold showing is on the cards here. 2. Tietar was safely held at Ballina when resuming but can improve in this, while 4. Next Pay Run hasn’t been beaten far in both runs since resuming and her previous form was sound.

How to play it: Amarone WIN.

2. Amalgamation had been racing well enough before scoring a narrow win at the Sunshine Coast at his last start. He should be prominent again in this line-up. 4. Quick Buck won two on end at this track before following a third here with a fourth Port Macquarie. That form is solid for this event. 3. Jimmy Nails won at Lismore two starts ago and then ran fourth to Amalgamation at the Sunshine Coast. 1. Likeabeel ran seventh in the same Sunshine Coast event and has place claims.

How to play it: Amalgamation WIN.

4. Kahlua Girl was a winner in maiden grade at Doomben back in June and that followed three minor placings. She had two trials before resuming with a fifth at Gatton and then followed that up with a close-up second at the Gold Coast when last produced. She looks hard to hold out in this. 2. Monarch Express was down the track here before being spelled and has had a quiet trial leading into this. He’s shown enough talent to be rated a contender. 10. Midwest Princess won well here when last produced and can go on with the job in this, while 8. Solidude has failed at his last two starts but was a Gold Coast winner three runs ago.

How to play it: Kahlua Girl WIN.
