Injured Trainer Update - Brett Thompson (Gulgong, Tuesday)

Racehorse trainer Brett Thompson has reported that he suffered a broken right leg during an incident at Gulgong Racecourse on Tuesday morning.

Brett had completed riding trackwork on a young two-year-old but was then dislodged after his mount lunged forward while he was preparing to dismount.

Brett was taken to Mudgee Hospital and reports he suffered a broken tibia. He is waiting to see a specialist on Friday and will keep his leg on ice and elevated until then.
