Injured Trackwork Rider Update - Emma-Jane Jenkins (Tuncurry, Monday)

Racing NSW Steward Jack Penfold has reported that licensed trackwork rider Emma-Jane Jenkins fell at Tuncurry trackwork on Monday (18th March 2019), after her mount dropped its head shortly after trotting off.

Emma-Jane fell awkwardly on her tailbone and was admitted to Manning Base Hospital. A report from the hospital since has detailed Emma-Jane as having a fractured L3.

[Update at 9am on Friday, 22nd March]: Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth has reported that Emma is fine and at home. Emma has a transverse spine fracture at L3 which will settle with rest and time.
