Injured Riders Update - Ella Drew & Nick Souquet
Apprentice jockey Ella Drew was dislodged from her mount during the running of Race 6 at Tamworth on Sunday (9th March). Ella walked back to the jockeys' room and a preliminary assessment found no apparent injuries. But later on Ella showed signs of a delayed concussion and was taken to hospital for further examination and was eventually discharged on Sunday night.
Jockey Nick Souquet sustained an injury after his mount flipped over in the barriers prior to the start of Race 2 at Corowa on Saturday (8th March). He did experience pain to his right leg but was later cleared to ride at today's Wagga trial.
