Injured Riders Update - Duggan & Thompson (Scone, Friday)

Please note jockeys Jenny Duggan (riding Steamboat Sally) and Robert Thompson (Tombolo) were dislodged in the straight during race 8 at Scone on Friday (15th May).

Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth reports that Jenny Duggan will possibly be discharged from John Hunter Hospital today. She has suffered a small bleed on her brain that will be monitored over the next six weeks.

Jenny has a fracture at the base of her skull that requires her to wear a neck brace for at least six weeks and also fractured her left scapula which will be treated in a sling.

She has a fractured wrist that is being treated with a splint and has a painful heel that is still being investigated. After discharge, Dr. Duckworth will be seeing her and outlying further management.

Robert Thompson was uninjured.
