Injured Rider Update - Paul Payne (Kempsey, Thursday)

Jockey Paul Payne was dislodged during Kempsey trackwork on Thursday morning (12th March). Paul was transported to Kempsey Hospital by ambulance with back pain and has been taken off his engagements at Taree races on Friday.

[Update at 4:45pm on Thursday]: Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth reports that Paul is fine and didn’t require hospital treatment. He suffered a spasm around his shoulder blade and just needed to rest for an hour.
