Injured Rider Update - Jake Barrett (Sapphire Coast, Sunday)

Apprentice jockey Jake Barrett was dislodged when his mount blundered following the running of Race 2 at Sapphire Coast on Sunday.

Jake was conscious and experiencing pain to his neck and will be transported to hospital for further examination.

[Update at 6:50pm on Sunday]: Jake has been cleared of any fractures. He has sustained some bone bruising on his pelvis and will be admitted to hospital overnight for observation.
