Injured Rider Update - Brooke Stower (Grafton, Monday)

Jockey Brooke Stower was dislodged when her mount (Ambridge) reared over in the mounting yard prior to race 2 at Grafton on Monday (31st August).

Brooke is conscious and was attended to by ambulance officers, suffering from general soreness. She was transported to Grafton Hospital for further observation.

[Update at 4:40pm]: Brooke has sustained a fractured vertebra with no neurological problems. A review will be undertaken by neurosurgeons to determine a treatment plan.
