The widespread rain and storms across NSW last week had the Goulburn track in the heavy range heading into the weekend but more rain on Saturday night meant that Sunday's meeting had to be postponed.

The club's Cup day program has been carried over to this Wednesday (4th November), the day after 'that other Cup'. Goulburn Race Club's CEO, Robyn Fife says its unchartered waters for the club.

"This will be the first time our Cup day has ever been run on a Wednesday! We are very pleased that Racing NSW has been able to find an alternative date," Ms Fife said.

"With that extra rain on Saturday night, Racing NSW Stewards had no other option but to postpone what was a very strong looking meeting.

"The club thanks all industry participants who have supported our amended date and accepted to race at Goulburn on Wednesday.

"Come Wednesday we should have had four days of drying weather and our track team is working extremely hard to get things in order."

Scratchings for Sunday's meeting were reinstated as the program was transferred to a date 48 hours later than the originally scheduled meeting.
