A real test of tough legs to open proceedings which suits 2. GOOFINATOR ($4.20 on TAB). Doesn’t need much clutch with only a few gears to his arsenal but has a solid winter campaign behind him and the quiet draw looks the key. 4. Septimus ($4) slogged his way through Heavy 10 conditions in a breakthrough win last time and should stay the trip. Has more upside than most. 6. Faye Runaway ($3 favourite) slips back to class one level and best form is on rain-affected ground. Chance to turn it around. 5. Devil's Daughter ($4) is on the quick back up and down in grade over a longer trip. Conditions suit.

2. DRUNKEN SAILOR ($2.50 fav) came from a mile back last start and could easily have won two of his past three with more luck in running. The big track and a mile plays him right into contention. 6. Sapphire's Son ($3.90) has been defying father time of late with honest winter results down in the weights. In good hands and handles any conditions. 7. Ellenmac ($3.90) has been close up in recent contests and fitness no issue. Small field gives her every chance. 8. Lafilo ($7) gets a few gear changes and won't mind a wet track.

3. GOLD TRACKER ($8.50) showed late scout first-up over a sprint trip. Spots them a start but hard to rule out in his right grade. 2. Hurricane Coni ($6) is a big threat fresh despite never winning one first-up. Has reliable references at this track and trip with the wet a track tie-in. Latham’s booking signifies serious intent. Local mare 4. You’re On Mute ($3.20 fav) must cope with a 7kg turnaround from her solid class three Highway handicap run last start. Cute draw and 2kg claim offers good shopping. 1. A Book Of Days ($4.80) must tow the grandstand with 62.5kg to win but fought right to the wire in latest offering at Nowra.

5. SPREAD THE LOVE ($1.90 fav) was a big home track tout on debut and didn’t let the side down. Finds an ideal class one assignment for a horse with added fitness and upside spruik. 2. Give Me Joy ($3.40) is yet to feel a heavy track in 10 career starts but was brave from a wide gate in a Rosehill Highway second-up. Returns home in a small field with winning claims. 1. Missile Defence ($4.40) gets back into 'pay to follow' territory courtesy of a poise and pounce draw and small beaten margins of late. 7. Luna Angel ($10) gets conditions to suit on her home patch with no weight.

10. GAELIC GEM ($2.20 fav) trialled well on a wet track recently and senior hoop gets the gig on debut. Flush for this. 6. Azzuca ($13) has been much better at her past two starts and the blinkers go on at a venue the stable often delivers at. 3. Son Of Eureka ($2.90) will use carbs early from a wide draw but went to the paddock with genuine country results in the bank. Expect a further improved horse this time in. 1. Obvious Icon ($3.70) failed as a hotpot on debut at this track before a spell. Goes one trial to raceday here for a strong local yard.

Ima Capri ($3.70) was soft in betting first-up after six months off and his front running effort back in the autumn at this venue was bold. Set to improve sharply. 5. Rogue Nation ($2.80 fav) looks an early learner after a crisp trial at this venue recently and finds a sit and steer draw on debut. 12. K'gari ($18) found this track to her liking last campaign and strips fitter second-up.

Golden Warrior ($3.50) resumes for a new yard off the back of some consistent numbers to end his last campaign but is weighted to his best. 9. King Taurus ($2.70 fav) did enough last start in similar conditions to take seriously again. Ready to peak third-up. 4. Allhallowtide ($18) resumes for a new yard with resume proven first-up and wet track form.
