Goulburn Premierships 'A Flag' For Winning Form

During Sunday’s bumper Goulburn Cup meeting Goulburn’s premiership winners for the 2023/24 racing season will be recognised.

Accordingly and right on cue, category winners have red flagged some strong recent results.

Nick Heywood delivered in spades this year at the tablelands track to win the jockey’s title and heads into Sunday’s meeting in sublime form.

Nick Heywood [pictured left] notched a winning treble at Moruya last Sunday, backed that up with a win at Dubbo on Wednesday and has banked 15 wins to date for August.

Danielle Seib took out the 2023/24 trainers' title on her home patch and in a well-timed result, Seib returned to the winner's circle at Moruya last Sunday with Amarantz.

And just to frank those form lines Goulburn's apprentice of the year Coriah Keatings posted a winner at Albury on Tuesday and backed that up with another at Dubbo on Wednesday for the Nick Olive camp.

Keatings current claims are two-fold ... till a handy 1.5 kilos at country level and a hoop of promise after a breakout 2023/24 season.

Goulburn President, Ken Ikin acknowledged the efforts of all three: "Winning one race can be hard enough these days let alone securing enough to win a premiership," Ikin said.

"On behalf of all our premiership winners, congratulations! We also acknowledge the ongoing support from trainers, owners, riders and industry participants throughout the 2023/24 season."

Punters take note - Heywood, Seib and Keatings all head into Sunday's Goulburn Cup program with 'premier' chances.
