Goulburn Offers Owners & Trainers July Triple Treat

It's not a million dollars in prizemoney but it's well and truly halfway there at Goulburn throughout July, with 23 races scheduled across three race meetings at the tablelands club.

After a quiet June, the club ramps up the racing action again this month with racedays set down for Friday the 9th, Monday the 19th* and Friday the 30th.

Racing action at Goulburn

And whilst the quality of winter racing can often get overlooked in the search for an extra jumper, Goulburn Race Club CEO, Robyn Fife expects the depth of racing throughout July to be strong.

"Having three race meetings this month certainly offers trainers and owners plenty of different options to place their horses," Ms Fife said.

"Our three meetings in July 2020 featured some solid form and horses who have gone on to win or net productive results in city grade since performing well at Goulburn this time last year.

"Gallopers like McGeehan (Paul Cave), Rebel Rama (Marc Conners), Blesk (John O'Shea) and Dinado (Richard & Michael Freedman) fit that category neatly."

Goulburn's busy July should also provide opportunities for riders still in the hunt for a tablelands premiership (jockey zones pending!).

Kathy O'Hara and Keegan Latham are fighting out the senior riders' title and will be looking for a final 'KO' or 'KL' in coming meetings!

Nominations for Goulburn's next raceday on Friday 9th July close this coming Monday (5th) at 11am.

* Meeting may be subject to venue change pending COVID Protocols.
